About Me

Introduction

Hello my name is Camilo Losada

I am a dedicated and skilled Search And Rescue (SAR) member with the Fire Department of Long Beach CA. I have a robust background in Search And Rescue and Maritime Experience/skills. I have been a dedicated Search and Rescue (SAR) member for nearly three years.

I have embraced an adventurous life, driven by a mission of commitment to helping the ones in need. My primary goal and mission is to save and assist as many lives as possible. I am willing to take significant risks to protect families and individuals in need. I actively advocate for social and economic justice, striving for a fair and equitable economy. I also strongly believe in a change in climate change. I support and affirm the belief that preserving our planet is essential for our future.

I have spent the past 14 years living on a sailboat, having embraced this lifestyle since the age of five. I have continued to choose this way of life, as it aligns with my passion for adventure and connection to the sea.

My extensive experience living on a sailboat has provided me with in-depth knowledge of the ocean and significant experience at the helm. I am extreamly confident in my ability to maneuver a skiff or dinghy, having grown up around them, and I am comfortable navigating open waters, even in challenging weather conditions. My skill set includes sailing, piloting, mooring and docking, nautical navigation, mapping, radio communication, and rope handling, all of which equip me to contribute effectively in maritime environments. Additionally, I do not experience seasickness
